Teton County Fair

July 19-28, 2019

The Teton County Fair signals the heart of Summer in Jackson Hole. The fair grounds will be humming with activity all week long making this possibly the most entertaining time to visit in Summer. Visitors to area will find all the usual fair delights; rides, 4-H displays, livestock, petting zoo, nightly entertainment. The nightly events including the rodeo, live music, pig wrestling, figure 8 races and more. Parking at the fairgrounds is $10.

There is a food court located inside the main fair grounds with all of your usual delights. I recommend not missing out on some local fixin’s over by the events tent. Located on Snow King Ave., the tent hosts talent shows etc. throughout the day, which provides some entertainment while dining. You will find a large grassy area with some picnic tables located near the “Big Top” events tent.

A collection of rides and games can be found around the fair’s “midway” that are sure to thrill children and adults.

Figure 8 Races seem to be a big hit with locals and visitors. In years past the Demolition Derby was the Sunday night featured event. Soon after the introduction of of the Figure 8’s, it replaced the Derby. Full throttle action, these guys out the pedal down!!!

This event combines the smash and crash of a derby with a little finese. Cars race around a figure 8 track where “rubbin’ is racin’!” A fireworks display concludes the fair on Sunday evening. Come on out and enjoy our fair!

Mormon Row is located in Grand Teton National Park, just North of Jackson. Take step back in time and explore these rustic homes, barns and cabins. The magnificent backdrop will leave you breathless on a clear day. Well worth the side trip to take in this historic piece of Jackson Hole.

Jeremy Jones’ Higher

Posted on: September 28th, 2014 by thcAdmin No Comments

October 11, 2014

Jones and his crew are elevating their game and taking their quest to the next level for the third and final installment of the DEEPER, FURTHER, HIGHER trilogy from the award-winning producers at Teton Gravity Research. Presented by Subaru, JEREMY JONES’ HIGHER traces Jones’ snowboarding journey from hiking Cape Cod’s Jailhouse Hill as a child to accumulating several generations’ worth of wisdom and expertise about thriving and surviving in the winter wilderness.

Along with friends like Jackson Hole’s own Bryan Iguchi, Jeremy leaves tracks on signature lines in Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe and other close-to-home playgrounds he’s made his own. He also makes history with far-flung first descents in the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalayas of Nepal, where the stakes are as high as the peaks themselves.

$1 from every ticket sold to this premiere will be donated to support Protect our Winters. Jeremy started Protect Our Winters (POW) in 2007 to address the impact of climate change on our mountains. POW’s mission—to engage and mobilize the winter sports community to lead the fight against climate change—was founded on the idea that the collective power of the winter sports community is massive, and that if we can all work together, the end result can be revolutionary.

July 4th 2014 in the Hole!

Posted on: June 24th, 2014 by thcAdmin No Comments

The fourth in Jackson is a fun filled day. There is a lot to keep you busy from sun up to sun down. Be prepared for the crowds. There tends to be more vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic than any other day in the valley. It is good to find a nice parking spot, try the public parking garage located on Millward, then set out by foot or by bike. There will be some congestion getting out of and around town after the fireworks display.
