Anne & Pete Sibley

Posted on: June 7th, 2014 by thcAdmin No Comments

July 8, 2014 @ 7:30pm

TICKET PRICE: $15-20

Within the first few notes, Anne and Pete Sibley can cast a spell of musical bliss upon any listener. With two voices in harmony, a guitar and a banjo, the husband and wife duo weave a deeper and fuller sound than their simple make up might lead you to believe capable. Each song is carefully selected among their wide range of original music and cover songs to bring an audience on a journey of music and stories. Attending an Anne and Pete Sibley concert is more attune to an experience rather than a simple concert and their accolades speak very highly of their abilities. Less than a decade since they released their first album, the Sibleys’ music hit the national spotlight in 2009 with a blue ribbon finish in the “Great American Duet Sing Off” on National Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion. Having performed at venues and festivals around the country, Anne and Pete truly are currently one of the top folk duos. In 2012 they released their 5th CD, Wandering to be Found, after living on the road for nearly a year and half and finally settling in California. They are finishing up a new CD which will be released September 1, 2014.

Quotes:

“Their harmonies are warm, tight and soulful; and their performances simple, poignant and unforgettable.” Nashville Public Radio

“One of the sweetest, most soulful and hauntingly beautiful duets in the business.” Bluegrass Now Magazine

“This duo is bound for greatness!” CD Baby.com

Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival

Posted on: September 19th, 2013 by thcAdmin No Comments

September 23-27, 2013

The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is now in its third decade. This biennial 6-day conference  draws nearly 700 leaders in science, conservation, broadcasting and media to celebrate the world’s finest nature films. An unmatched international industry event.

In alternating years, JHWFF hosts a Science Media Symposium targeting over 300 science media stakeholders. The object is to recognize excellence in media that illustrate the wonders of science and its far-reaching impact on our daily lives.

In 2013 we will see the launch the first Jackson Hole Conservation Summit. The inaugural 4-day conference, produced in partnership with the United Nations Great Apes Survival Partnership and the Arcus Foundation, puts its focus on the world’s Great Apes.

Jackson Hole is an amazing place. In a world facing unprecedented global environmental threats, JHWFF believes in the power of ideas and the power of media to inspire wonder and catalyze change through personal action. Beyond its industry conferences, JHWFF is equally committed to creating multidisciplinary educational and community enrichment opportunities. By integrating year-round programs that coordinate photography and digital media with art, science and nature.

I would strongly suggest checking out the list of events and attending whatever may peak your interest.
