2017 Races Have Been Cancelled

An event not to miss out on is the annual Shriner’s Club Jackson Hole Cutter Races on the 18th and 19th. The cutter races raise funds for Shriner’s Hospitals. The cutter races tend to be quite lively with a festive party like vibe. Local race fans look forward to this event each Winter, entrance is $15/person.

Drivers pilot a horse drawn chariot down a track of snow. The speeds are exhilarating. This event is well worth checking out. Dress warmly, you can bring your own food and beverages. Event Information.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce presents the 6th Annual Jackson Hole WinterFest January 29-February 15, 2016. WinterFest highlights the best of winter in Jackson Hole with two weeks of snowy fun.

JH Winterfest 2015

The Jackson Hole Winterfest is an array of events held over a 2 week period in February. In its fith year momentum continues to grow as new events are added to the schedule. The community comes alive over this 2 week period.

An event not to miss out on is the annual Shriner’s Club Cutter Races on the 14th and 15th. The annual cutter races raise funds for Shriner’s Hospitals. The cutter races tend to be quite lively with a festive party like vibe. Local race fans look forward to this event each Winter, entrance is $15/person.

The following weekend, February  21st & 22nd, the Shriners will be hosting a ski joring event at the South Park location.

Saturday, February 14

  • 9:00am: Jackson Hole Snowmobile Races at Robertson Ranch (Seven Miles South of Jackson on Hwy 89) – Snowmobile Snocross and Oval Racing returns to Jackson. Join Xtreme Mountain Racing and Hold Fast Racing as they join forces to bring quality snocross and vintage oval racing back to the valley. Racers from Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana will battle it out on the high flying snocross track. Then move over to the oval track and cheer on the vintage racers as they battle it out on a banked 1/8 mile Nascar style track on machines that are 25 years old or older – a flash back in time. With racers from 5-years-old to 75-years-old – you’re never too young to experience the thrill of racing.
  • 10:00am: Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club presents the 21st Annual Moose Chase Marathon at Trail Creek Nordic Center – Visit jhskiclub.org.

3rd Annual Event…February 15-24, 2013

The Jackson Hole Winterfest is an array of events held over a 2 week period in February. In its third year momentum continues to grow as new events are added to the schedule. The community comes alive over this 2 week period.

An event not to miss out on is the annual Shriner’s Club Cutter Races on the 16th and 17th. The annual cutter races raise funds for Shriner’s Hospitals. The cutter races tend to be quite lively with a festive party like vibe. Local race fans look forward to this event each Winter, entrance is $15/person.

New to this year’s Winterfest is skijoring, which will be hosted by the Jackso Hole Shrine Club on the 23rd and 24th. The Skijoring event is one in which skiers are towed by riders on horseback down a course with jumps and/or gates. This Western past time provides for some rowdy spectating.

*The Cutter races and Skijoring events will be held in Melody Ranch on the South Park Loop*

The snow sculpting will begin on Wednesday February 20th, The judging will be done at high noon on Saturday the 23rd. Stop by the town square to view the works in progress throughout the week.
